Day One: Welcome To Nairobi

Following your flight, the Odyssey Safari staff will greet you at the airport and load your bags for transport to the Safari Park Hotel. Once you are settled in, you may select an optional activity or simply relax at the hotel for the trip ahead. Some of the possible optional activities include: Bomas of Kenya, the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Karen Blixen Museum, a tour of downtown Nairobi, the National Museum, or the Langata Giraffe Center.

Day Two: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, our adventures in the bush begin in the spectacular Amboseli National Park. Romantically situated in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its tremendous variety of big game. We will arrive just in time for lunch. After lunch, we will conduct a game drive on your way to the lodge. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from lions, cheetah, wildebeest, and giraffes to baboons.

Day Three: Exploring Amboseli National Park

The day starts with breakfast followed by a morning game drive in the park. Amboseli offers opportunities for viewing large herds of elephants and nearly every vista within the park is framed by the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. A visit to Observation Hill allows for an overall view of the whole park, especially the swamp which hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of waterfowls like pelican, and Egyptian goose. Take lunch and continue with your game drive in the afternoon before heading back for your dinner and overnight.

Day Four: Exploring Lake Naivasha

Today our adventures begin with a morning game drive to finish exploring the majestic wildlife within Amboseli National Park. Upon finishing your game drive, enjoy a delicious breakfast and prepare to depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for an afternoon lunch. There are a wide range of optional activities to choose from to finish out your day. Maybe a boat ride on the lake? How about an informative nature walk at Crescent Island discovering the unique wildlife that roams within it? Or you may wish to lounge by the pool admiring the view of zebras, giraffes ad waterbuck just outside the fence.

Day Five: Exploring Lake Nakuru

As dawn breaks, our journey takes us to the enchanting Lake Nakuru National Park nestled in the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, we delve into an enticing game drive to encounter the rich tapestry of wildlife that makes this park its home. Relish a delightful picnic lunch at our preferred vantage point, granting a panoramic view of the azure lake. The exploration continues as we seek the elusive leopard and the armored rhino. The abundant wildlife and mesmerizing birdwatching experience here may turn even the most skeptical into fervent admirers. As the day concludes, we journey back to Lake Naivasha for a well-deserved dinner and rest.

Day Six: Masai Mara National Park

Today, we journey through the dramatic expanse of the Great Rift Valley to the sprawling Masai Mara National Reserve. A part of the boundless Serengeti plains, the Mara is globally renowned for the awe-inspiring spectacle of the great wildebeest migration and as a sanctuary for the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. Savor your first glimpses of the expansive savannah as we drive towards our camp. Post lunch at the camp, venture out for an exhilarating afternoon game drive, tracking elusive predators and encountering vibrant wildlife. As the day ends, return to the camp for dinner and overnight, charging up for another day of riveting exploration tomorrow.

Day Seven: Exploring The Masai Mara

Our pursuit of magnificent predators and potentially their cubs persists today during expansive game drives. Venture across the plains, where large herds of animals graze, while elusive cheetahs and leopards conceal themselves within the shadows of acacia branches. Be poised with your camera, as breathtakingly close encounters with these awe-inspiring creatures can occur without warning! Retire back to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay, rejuvenating yourself for your final remarkable day with us.

Day Eight: Final Day Of Itinerary

Enjoy an early breakfast at the camp, checkout and conduct a game drive en-route with an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that is part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Souvenir shopping and a scenic stop at the edge of the Great Rift Valley before arriving Nairobi between 3 and 4 PM. Day rooms, dinner and activities can be arranged depending the timing of your flight (additional cost). We will transfer you from Nairobi to the airport for your international flight.
